The Municipality of Concordia continues working on the organization of the third edition of "No me sueltes la mano", the traditional gathering with which the Day of the Elderly is celebrated every year, and which on this occasion will take place next September 10, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at the Concordia Convention Center.
With the aim of defining the main guidelines for the day, a working group was formed, integrated by representatives of different municipal areas and institutions linked to the care and support of the elderly. Participants included the Director of Disability, Florencia Weiss; the head of the "Gruta de Lourdes" Grandparents' Home, Margarita Cámara; the coordinator of the Isthilart Home, Andrea Chirino; the head of the Social Economy Department, Miguel Parra; and the head of the Department of Policies for the Elderly, Gladys Portugal.
During the meeting, the activities for this third edition were defined, which will focus on the recognition of the elderly, promoting spaces for meeting, participation, and integration.
As part of the program, Graciela Mántaras, Director of the Elderly at the Ministry of Human Development of Entre Ríos, will be present to give a presentation on the importance of promoting public policies aimed at active aging, autonomy, and the full exercise of the rights of the elderly.
In addition, the day will include live artistic performances, raffles, recreational proposals, and numerous activities designed for the elderly to enjoy an afternoon of celebration with their families and the community.
From the organization, they highlighted that the joint planning between the Municipality, the institutions, and the spaces that work daily with the elderly constitutes one of the main strengths of the event. This articulated work allows for adding proposals, listening to different perspectives, and building a celebration that, edition after edition, incorporates new activities and improves its quality, becoming a space increasingly awaited by the residents of Concordia.
The Municipality invites the entire community to join this new edition of "No me sueltes la mano", an initiative that reaffirms the commitment to promote a more inclusive city, where the elderly are protagonists and receive the recognition they deserve for their permanent contribution to society.
