During this Thursday, the National Minister of Human Capital Sandra Pettovello and the mayor Francisco Azcué signed an agreement that allows for the renewal and expansion of the Family Centers Program coverage in our city.
The agreement will allow for the inclusion of 3500 beneficiaries and new centers added to the network, which currently already reaches 100 spaces. Concordia is the only Municipality in the country to reach this stage.
Mayor Azcué, who was accompanied by the Secretary of Human Development Sebastián Arístide and part of the team that carries out the program in Concordia, highlighted this new step “that will allow us to reach more young people and families so that they have the possibility of carrying out cultural, educational, sports, and artistic activities in different local institutions”.
“This is the product of work in the territory, having a diagnosis and from there, generating actions to accompany families and provide tools, such as this one facilitated by the National Human Capital, to provide responses to demands”, remarked Azcué.
The national Family Centers program has been implemented in Concordia since last year, allowing direct access to extracurricular activities for children between 6 and 17 years old.
Present were the Secretary of Childhood, Adolescence and Family Juan Bautista Ordoñez; Mariano Uset, Undersecretary of Territorial Policies and Human Development; Francisco Palacin, National Director of Social Information; Martin Wolf, Director of Family Promotion and Felipe Mattio, Director of Territorial Approach.
