With free admission, the now traditional event was held at the “Atanasio Bonfiglio” Corsódromo, with the participation of samba dancers from Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay.
On Saturday, with the Samba No Pé workshops led by Viviane Nunes, the afternoon had a great closing with the Batería Explode de Samba rehearsal, which brings together percussionists from all the carnival troupes in our city.
That same Saturday night at the Corsódromo, a Grand Roda took place with special guests from Buenos Aires, Corrientes, Gualeguaychú, Uruguay, and Brazil, among other percussionists.
Amanda, representative and coordinator of the Cari Bú troupe from Villa Mercedes, San Luis, stated: “Once again participating in this gathering. An event we look forward to with great anticipation once a year, working and happy to be here. It is very nice and pleasant to be able to share this passion in a city that always welcomes us so well. In addition to all the training and the interaction with other dancers, samba dancers, and percussionists that we achieve here, so everything is very satisfying,” she said.
For his part, Claudio “Lolo” Alaní, organizer of the event, expressed: “First of all, I would like to thank the municipality of Concordia and its mayor Enrique Cresto for their support, because these activities bring together the entire Carnival family of the city and the whole country; and the community in general, not only to receive information on the subject, but because this meeting becomes a space for support, inclusion, recreation, and tourist and cultural recognition for our city. That is why I emphasize that they always have a positive result for Concordia. Participants have come from Buenos Aires, Tucumán, San Luis, Corrientes, Córdoba, and all of Entre Ríos. And from countries like Brazil and Uruguay, who have traveled a long way to be present,” he highlighted.
“The truth is that it is an immense joy to hold it here in the home of all carnival lovers, which is the Concordia Corsódromo, with a samba workshop, a samba roda, a competition for dancers, and batucadas. An edition that has exceeded all our expectations, which is why it is essential to thank the municipality and mayor Enrique Cresto for all their support, which allows for free and open access.”
On Sunday, it was “all or nothing” as percussion sections, batucadas, and individual male and female dancers competed for their reign. There was an emotional participation from the Pequeños Duendes Carnival and also from the Ráfaga, Imperio, Bella Samba, and Emperatriz troupes, with this presentation accompanied by stands, a food court, and activities for the whole family.
