The Municipality of Concordia, through the Directorate of Citizen Participation, delivered sports equipment to the Capuchinos Alumni Center, within the framework of the actions promoted by the Participatory Budget Coordination.
The initiative arises from a request from the sports and resident community, reaffirming the municipal administration's commitment to strengthening institutions and promoting sports as a tool for inclusion.
The event was attended by the Undersecretary of Development and Entrepreneurship, Gabriel Enguelberg; the Director of Citizen Participation, José Vedoya; the Participatory Budget Coordinator, Sebastián Reinafe; and the president of the Capuchinos Alumni Center, Dr. Oscar Ávila, accompanied by members of the board of directors and members of the coaching staff.
The equipment delivered includes cones, adjustable hurdles, hoops, tackle shields, basketballs and handballs, and bibs, intended to improve training conditions and the development of sports activities.
In this context, Enguelberg stated: “These actions reflect the joint work between the State and the community. The Participatory Budget allows for transforming the demands of the residents into concrete responses that strengthen our institutions.”
For his part, José Vedoya noted: “Supporting clubs is fundamental, because they play a key social role: they promote sports, inclusion, and values in every neighborhood.”
From the beneficiary institution, the club president, Dr. Oscar Ávila, stated: “This equipment represents a very important improvement for our training sessions and for everyone who is part of the club. It is a concrete response to a need we had been raising.”
These actions are part of a sustained policy of support for clubs and institutions, understanding sports as a central axis for inclusion, health, and social development.
