Mayor Francisco Azcué, together with Vice Mayor Magdalena Reta de Urquiza and authorities from the Mixed Entity for the Administration of the Industrial Park (EMAPI), toured the facilities of the company Eficiencia Ambiental S.R.L. this Tuesday, whose plant shows significant progress and is close to being inaugurated.
Construction work is scheduled to be completed by the end of next month. The investment made is around 2 million dollars.
The firm is dedicated to the recovery and reprocessing of used mineral oils; treatment of waste contaminated with hydrocarbons; classification and recovery of WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment) through processes that transform waste into new productive resources. Once it becomes operational, around 20 jobs are expected to be created.
During the visit, Azcué highlighted “the company's decision to choose our city to invest, develop, and generate employment. It is very gratifying to see the progress they have achieved in such a short time and to verify how this space continues to grow in infrastructure and services, positioning itself on par with the best industrial parks in the country”.
In that sense, he remarked that “our challenge is to continue improving conditions for those who invest and generate work. We must be a facilitating, agile State that reduces bureaucracy, supports the private sector, and contributes to making Concordia an increasingly competitive and attractive city for new investments”.
For his part, Osvaldo Koffman, from Eficiencia Ambiental S.R.L., thanked the support received from local authorities: “we have had the permanent support of the Industrial Park and the municipality to resolve the different needs that arose. We are convinced that this project will be very useful for Concordia, generating employment, especially local labor, and providing environmental solutions for the entire region”.
Reta de Urquiza maintained that “we saw this company grow from the beginning of our administration and today it is close to inaugurating its facilities. Its operation will have a positive impact both on job creation and on the treatment and reuse of waste, benefiting not only Concordia but also the entire region”.
Finally, the president of EMAPI, Luis Kolarik, recalled that “since the company decided to settle in Concordia, we have been accompanying every stage of the process so that today this investment is very close to becoming a reality and begins to contribute to the growth of our city”.
The start-up of Eficiencia Ambiental S.R.L. will signify the consolidation of an important commitment to local productive development, job creation, and environmental care.
