The Municipality of Concordia, through the Undersecretariat of Development and Entrepreneurship, continues to develop the Family Agroecological Gardens Program, an initiative that promotes the production of healthy food and sustainable development in the city's neighborhoods.
After a very positive assessment during the last year, in which the program achieved broad participation from residents and institutions, the Municipality resumes activities during 2026 with new seedling distribution sessions and technical support for those developing gardens in their homes.
In this first stage, the Social Economy Department team will be present in Barrio Tavella Sur, at 2859 Próspero Bovino, where distribution and advisory sessions will be held on Monday, March 16th, and Wednesday, March 18th, at 9:00 a.m.
During the meetings, residents will receive seasonal seedlings and technical guidance for the development of their gardens, also having the advice of Agronomist Engineer Gabriel Zubizarreta, who will provide recommendations on soil preparation, crop care, and agroecological production practices.
The Head of the Social Economy Department, Miguel Parra, highlighted the continuity of the program and the community's commitment:
“During the last year, we saw great interest from residents in learning about and maintaining their gardens. This shows us that this public policy has a real impact on the daily lives of families, not only in food production but also in strengthening community work.”
Parra also remarked that the objective is to continue supporting more families in different neighborhoods of Concordia, bringing tools, knowledge, and technical support that allow for sustaining the gardens over time.
In this way, the Municipality reaffirms its commitment to local development, environmental care, and the promotion of practices that contribute to the production of healthy food, consolidating an initiative that continues to grow in every neighborhood of the city.
