The mayor Enrique Cresto met with the EDOS comptroller, Juan José Grigolato, and the Technical Manager, Mireya López Bernis, with whom he analyzed the situation of the Entity and received the Modernization, Technification and Maintenance project for the current Water Treatment Plant. The economic advisor to the Executive branch, Álvaro Sierra, also participated in the meeting.
This year, work begins on the construction of the new Water Treatment Plant for the city, a project that will take three years. Meanwhile, the mayor ordered that the modernization of the current Plant be planned to improve the service until the new Plant becomes operational.
Furthermore, progress was made in the organizational restructuring of the Entity and the division dedicated to Drilling and Pumping Station tasks, in order to specifically address the issues that arise during seasons of higher water consumption.
At the end of the meeting, the mayor stated that "we are on the way to ensuring that Edos is no longer in deficit, which is one of the objectives we set at the beginning of the administration. The other is to achieve a better and higher quality service. With the daily work that the staff carries out, and with these Modernization proposals that will be integrated into the new Water Treatment Plant, we are moving in that direction," he assured.
