The Municipality of Concordia and the Decentralized Entity of Sanitary Works (EDOS) inform that maintenance work has been completed in different sectors of the drinking water distribution network.
The Water Treatment Plant has been put back into operation and the service will begin to normalize as the network filling is completed, so the community is requested to make responsible use until it is completely normalized.
The works, which began on Friday and continued throughout this Saturday, included the installation of four 355-millimeter master gate valves, fundamental devices to regulate and sectorize the flow leaving the Water Treatment Plant; the renewal of secondary valves of different diameters, in order to improve the operability of the network.
This will allow progress in the sectorization of the distribution network, a strategic improvement that will facilitate the control of flows and pressures, optimizing the operation of the system and allowing future maintenance or repair tasks to be carried out more efficiently.
These actions are part of the modernization and strengthening plan for sanitary infrastructure that EDOS has been developing to improve the quality and reliability of the service received by the residents of Concordia.
