The Disability Directorate of the Municipality of Concordia presented a brand new vehicle acquired with its own funds, which will favor the provision of services that the area carries out in the city, working jointly with different institutions.
Dr. Diego Sauré, Secretary of Health, explained that the purchase “was possible thanks to the income that the Disability area obtains from the payment of municipal taxes by taxpayers, which is why we appreciate the commitment and compliance of the residents, and this is a way of showing where municipal resources go”.
“We were saving up for a long time, month by month, and the important thing is that it was achieved,” Sauré highlighted, noting the relevance of this vehicle since “from this Directorate, around 300 children are transported monthly to different educational establishments or institutions in Concordia”.
For his part, the Director of Disability, Maximiliano Navarro Jaurena, stated that “this will allow more people to be transported and provide a service in accordance with the needs we have. During 2025, care services increased, there were additions of a medical specialist, a neurologist, and other specialties, and now this vehicle is added, which is fundamental”.
Currently, the Disability Directorate provides the transport service, in a coordinated effort, with the 14 institutions that make up the Municipal Disability Council, including school establishments and NGOs.
In addition, it transports patients who are treated at PROMAR or at the Equine Therapy Center, in double shifts, from Monday to Friday. It also carries out recreational or sports outings periodically, according to the requirements they may have.
