This morning, the presentation of the 5th International Youth Social Hockey Meeting was held, which will take place in Concordia on November 14, 15, and 16, with the participation of representatives from Argentina and Uruguay in the under-16 categories for women and men.
Mayor Francisco Azcué highlighted the opportunity presented to the city by hosting the meeting, as on one hand, “there is the sporting aspect that positions Concordia on the calendar of major competitions, and on the other, we will surely have many visitors who will come to enjoy everything we offer and take home a good memory.”
“I congratulate the organization, thank you for choosing us, and I wish all the athletes success; may they continue to strive and improve. May it be a great tournament for everyone,” wished Azcué.
Secretary of Human Development Sebastián Arístide remarked that “social sports are fundamental as they offer young people an alternative. I have no doubt that they will have an extraordinary experience and that we will meet again.”
For his part, the President of the Argentine Social Hockey Federation, Ricardo Serial, indicated that the entity promotes and supports all categories “through the holding of various national tournaments, and for us, it is important to return to Concordia, so we thank the administration for receiving us.”
The launch was attended by the Secretary of Government Luciano Dell'Olio, Undersecretary of Sports Ivana Pérez, and council members Eliana Lagraña, Silvina Ovelar, Celeste Fuscado, and Emmanuel Godoy.
The competition will take place at the municipal hockey field.
