This Wednesday, the CIVERCON (Green Belt of Concordia) working group met again, composed of municipalities of the department; officials from Entre Ríos; universities and intermediate and private institutions linked to the fruit and vegetable production sector.
Mayor Francisco Azcué highlighted the importance of the meeting with all the sectors that “are part of the team and the table, where academic institutions have an important role, as well as the different organizations, such as the CFI, which among its tools, issues loans linked to productive projects that have grown a lot in our province”.
Subsequently, Azcué stressed that “we are leaving very enthusiastic and we trust that, although this is a job that will take time, we are creating the conditions for the province and in this case the Concordia department to offer good conditions, incentivize and generate more investment and work”.
For her part, the Secretary of Commerce, Mining and Entrepreneurial Development of Entre Ríos, Noelia Zapata, stressed that strengthening and valuing the horticultural producer is fundamental: “The idea is that consumers can consume quality food because when one talks about where they come from, when one knows who is behind that food, the consumer can have peace of mind, especially when it comes to vegetables”.
Zapata stated that “we have the know-how, we have the alliances of all the institutions, we have the great mandate of the mayor and his team to value this and we, from the province, want to help, collaborate in all instances, be it with technical assistance, with loans through the CFI or other lines. We make ourselves available”.
The axes of the meeting focused on analyzing and contextualizing a survey carried out by INTA and UNER, led by Eng. Lilian Román, Eng. Carlos Barreto (from the former INTA Concordia Extension Agency) and Eng. Celeste Stirnemann, from the FCAI-UNER Extension Secretariat. In addition, the day featured presentations by the CFI through regional representative Cr. Jorge Giménez and FOGAER through General Manager and Executive Director Walter Müller.
Accompanying the working group were the Director of Internal Commerce of Entre Ríos, Gastón Pauletti; the Director of SMEs, Maira Mantiñan; and the Director of Entrepreneurial Development, Ignacio Grill.
