Producers, cooperatives, and local government representatives participated in a meeting where support, investment, and training tools were presented to boost beekeeping activity in Concordia and the region.
This past Monday, Concordia hosted an informative session on the Beekeeping Sector Productive Development Program, an initiative of the Government of Entre Ríos aimed at supporting producers and the various actors that make up the beekeeping chain.
The meeting was organized jointly by the Municipality of Concordia and the Government of Entre Ríos and was attended by beekeeping producers, representatives of cooperatives, and local governments, who were able to learn about the available tools and raise concerns related to the development of the activity.
The presentation was led by the provincial coordinator of Beekeeping, Rodrigo Toledo, who presented the main guidelines of the program and explained the different support alternatives aimed at the sector.
During the session, tools related to infrastructure, investment, training, and strengthening of productive capacities were addressed, as well as the possibilities for coordination to support the growth of ventures and improve production conditions.
Toledo highlighted the importance of generating these spaces directly in the territory and bringing information to those who are part of the activity. “These meetings are fundamental because they allow us to bring the tools that the Province has directly to the producers, but also to listen to what their needs are and what challenges the sector is facing today. Beekeeping has enormous potential and we need to continue strengthening the entire productive chain,” he noted.
In this sense, the provincial coordinator remarked on the importance of coordination between the different levels of the State and private actors to generate new opportunities.
“The idea is that producers can learn about the available tools, take ownership of them, and find concrete support in the State. When we work in a coordinated manner with municipalities, cooperatives, and organizations in the sector, we can ensure that programs effectively reach the territory,” maintained Toledo.
The Secretary of Productive Development, Sebastián Arístide, valued the possibility of bringing these types of proposals to local producers: “from the Municipality, we understand that supporting the productive sector means being close to those who produce, knowing their needs, and facilitating access to tools that allow for growth and adding value. Beekeeping is an activity with significant potential for Concordia and the entire region,” he affirmed.
The official also highlighted the joint work with the provincial Government to strengthen the presence of productive development policies in the territory. “The coordination between the Municipality and the Province allows us to bring programs and opportunities to producers, but also to generate spaces for dialogue where we can learn firsthand about the difficulties and seek solutions. These types of meetings are important because they allow information to be transformed into concrete opportunities,” remarked Arístide.
The day also included an exchange space with the participants, which allowed for delving into the needs of the sector and learning about the alternatives available to support productive projects.
The activity is part of a work agenda that seeks to strengthen the productive framework of Concordia, support producers, and generate new opportunities for investment, training, and growth, promoting coordination between the Municipality, the Province, cooperatives, and the private sector.
From the Municipality of Concordia, the decision to continue generating spaces for meeting and coordination that allow public policies to reach the territory and translate into concrete tools for those who produce was highlighted.
