During the first semester of 2026, the city recorded 115 events, compared to the 39 held in the same period of 2025, which represents a growth of 194.9%. Next week, Concordia will participate in Meet Up, the country's main meeting tourism gathering, to continue promoting the destination and attracting new events.
With a sustained promotion strategy and joint work between the Undersecretariat of Tourism of Concordia, the Mixed Entity of Tourism of Concordia (EMCONTUR), and Concordia Buró, the city continues to strengthen its positioning as one of the main meeting tourism destinations in the Salto Grande region and the country.
Currently, it is part of the ranking of the ten Argentine cities with the most activity in this segment, according to the AOCA Yearbook (Argentine Association of Organizers and Suppliers of Exhibitions, Congresses, Events and Convention Bureaus), prepared with data from the Economic Observatory of Meeting Tourism (OETR), a recognition that reflects the growth of the destination and the articulated work between the public and private sectors.
As part of that strategy, on August 5 and 6, Concordia will participate in Meet Up in the City of Buenos Aires, the main meeting tourism gathering in Argentina, where it will hold meetings with organizers of congresses, conventions, and events to continue positioning the city within the national market.
This action continues the After Office held at the end of June at the Casa de Entre Ríos, in Buenos Aires, together with Concordia Buró. There, the destination's offer was presented to potential organizers, highlighting the available infrastructure, the Convention Center, hotel capacity, connectivity, and the city's wide tourist proposal.
SUSTAINED GROWTH
The indicators show a constant evolution of the segment. In 2024, Concordia hosted 73 events, while in 2025 it reached 97. The trend deepened in 2026: during the first semester, 115 events were held, compared to the 39 recorded in the same period of 2025, which represents an increase of 194.9%.
The Convention Center continues to be the main space for this type of gathering, increasing its participation from 40.6% to 50% from 2024 to 2025, while events held in outdoor spaces and cultural and institutional settings also grew. It is estimated that each attendee makes an average expenditure of nearly $200,000, including accommodation, gastronomy, fuel, and other consumption, with a direct impact on hotels, restaurants, businesses, and service providers.
In this way, meeting tourism is consolidated as one of the main engines of tourist and economic activity in Concordia throughout the year.
