Mayor Francisco Azcué participated this Wednesday in the opening of the 23rd edition of the Career Fair, where students in their final years of high school and anyone interested in choosing to study in the city can find a large number of exhibitors offering local academic programs and talks.
The activities are taking place at the Instituto de Profesorado Concordia and the Instituto “Hermano Septimio” under the slogan “I Study in Concordia”, with the participation of 24 institutions through information stands.
During the opening ceremony, Mayor Azcué highlighted the growth the fair has experienced over the years, which “generates greater opportunities for young people to learn about all the alternatives available for their education”.
“The decisions our students make today also impact the future of Concordia. From here will emerge the next professionals, entrepreneurs, teachers, technicians, and business owners who will contribute to the growth of our city”, remarked Azcué, adding that as a State it is important to invest in education, generating tools that favor the development and inclusion of young people.
For his part, the Departmental Director of Schools, Alejandro Ramírez, commented that “it has been 23 years of accompanying thousands of students in choosing their vocation. Concordia currently has a wide educational offer and this fair allows young people to clear up doubts, learn about alternatives, and think about their life project”.
Meanwhile, the rector of the Instituto de Profesorado Concordia, Andrés Moulins, valued the joint work between the educational system, the students, and the State: “education, management, and students are part of the same construction. Only by working in an articulated manner can we generate opportunities and accompany young people in a stage as important as the definition of their academic and professional future”.
The 23rd Career Fair is being held until this Thursday, June 11, and the hours enabled for visits and talks are from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the morning and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the afternoon.
