Within the framework of Disability Awareness Month, the Municipal Health Secretariat, through the Disability Directorate, carried out the second First Aid and CPR training session at the Concordia Convention Center.
Regarding this training, the municipal director of Disability, Marcelo Primitivo, stated that “it aims to reach all personnel working in institutions, NGOs, and public and private agencies that work with people with disabilities, with a presentation by the professional Orlando Cárdenas Rodriguez, from the Municipal Sports Clinic”, he detailed.
"It is a joint effort carried out within the framework of the public policies promoted by the mayor Enrique Cresto. Among the activities is the use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). In the first module, other injuries were addressed; that is to say, we cover various topics for the responsible training of these actors, providing the relevant tools and knowledge”, explained the Director of Disability.
“It is a very particular training because, since we work with diverse pathologies, it is very difficult and comprehensive. After a talk we had with the Sports Secretariat, through the Municipal Sports Clinic, we combined criteria and efforts, and in this transversal public policy of both areas, we concluded the day with the participation of many people”, concluded Primitivo.
