The Municipality of Concordia, through the Department of Policies for the Elderly, will carry out a new training session aimed at older adults on Autumn-Winter Vegetable Gardens and Healthy Eating, with the objective of promoting healthy habits and food production for self-consumption.
The activity will be developed within the framework of the Infrastructure and Development Plan towards the Bicentennial (PIB), an initiative that promotes actions oriented towards the integral development of the community and the strengthening of the quality of life of the residents of Concordia.
The training will take place next Thursday, June 18, from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m., at the San Francisco Retirees Center, located at the intersection of Lieberman and La Pampa.
The session will be led by Agronomist Engineer Gabriel Zubizarreta, who will provide practical tools on vegetable gardening during the autumn-winter season, crop care, and the importance of a balanced diet as part of a healthy life.
The Municipality highlighted that these types of proposals seek to strengthen spaces for meeting and learning for older adults, promoting their active participation in the community and generating knowledge that contributes to improving their quality of life.
The activity is free of charge and is especially aimed at older adults interested in incorporating sustainable cultivation practices and healthy eating into their daily lives.
