Within the framework of the Water and Sanitation Plan being carried out in the city, Mayor Alfredo Francolini, together with the head of EDOS Jorge Mendieta, toured the work that has begun on the expansion of the drinking water network on Boulevard Yuquerí and De Los Viñedos street.
“We are working on many construction fronts throughout the city, carrying out improvements and repairs. In this case, we are visiting the project that will benefit two highly populated settlements. In this sector, pressure drops significantly on hot days, and the objective is to prevent and solve these issues. With this work, the improvement in the neighborhood will be reflected,” stated Mayor Alfredo Francolini.
At the same time, the head of EDOS Jorge Mendieta commented that the work is “part of what we had presented to ENOHSA at the beginning of the year and which, together with Mayor Alfredo Francolini, we managed with Enrique Cresto. There are two settlements that will be benefited by this network we are building, one of 120 families and the other of 180 families. This means that with these 500 meters of the new network, around 300 families will be directly benefited.”
“We are very grateful because this water network was needed here in the neighborhood. I am very grateful to Mayor Alfredo Francolini and the director of EDOS Jorge Mendieta because they have stepped up to help us. It was what we needed because hot days are coming, and it is important for the well-being of the children and the elderly who need it,” stated Débora, a resident of the area.
For his part, Sebastián, another resident of the settlement, commented that “we have lived in this place for more than 3 years, and from now on, with this water connection, we will have a solution. Today we will be able to have this benefit, and it is a very important achievement for us.”
