This was highlighted by both Vice Mayor Armando Gay and council members Carola Laner, Magdalena Reta de Urquiza, Carolina Amiano, and Nicolás Moulins, who emphasized the development of the Concordia Carnival, not only for the quality and excellent performances of each Comparsa but also for the celebration experienced in the stands, where it is clear that what is lived in our city is passion.
“Week by week the Carnival has been growing, which is seen daily in the people's response, and it fills us with satisfaction that this is happening,” said the Vice Mayor and President of the Deliberative Council Armando Gay, who weeks ago walked out onto the track of the “Atanasio Bonfiglio” Municipal Corsódromo, alongside Mayor Enrique Cresto, with the Bella Samba Comparsa.
“In this administration, just as the mayor has already said, we want the carnival to continue growing, and together we can do it by contributing our grain of sand so that this celebration ceases to be local and becomes one of the most important, because –he remarked– what is seen here, the passion in the stands and the color of each Comparsa, is not seen anywhere else,” he said with satisfaction.
Council member Carola Laner was also enjoying this celebration that Concordia is experiencing weekend after weekend, and in that sense, she expressed her emotion “for how much the carnivals of our city have grown, and it is a source of pride for us as council members and for the entire community to have the possibility of being part of this,” highlighting the very good level of each of the comparsas “because you can see that they put in effort, desire, and a lot of work.”
For their part, council members Magdalena Reta de Urquiza and Nicolás Moulins did not hesitate to state “that it is a celebration for the whole family, to come and enjoy. We are not fans of any particular comparsa, but of the carnival in general.”
Council member Carolina Amiano expressed her sense of belonging to this celebration and highlighted the very good work that has been done by the organization, as well as the sense of belonging that this event already has within the community. “You look at the stands and what is experienced says it all.”
This coming Saturday the fourth night will be held, and expectations are renewed once again as the battle of passions grows ahead of what will be the last weekends of February, when it will be known if the 2017 champion is “Unisur”, “Ráfaga”, “Emperatriz”, “Bella Samba” or “Imperio”.
