As part of the ongoing comprehensive approaches carried out by the Municipality of Concordia through the Secretariat of Public Services, this week the work is being conducted in the Pampa Soler neighborhood.
Through coordinated work between different areas, tasks are being executed regarding cleaning, maintenance of green spaces, lighting, waste collection, branch removal, and actions for dengue prevention and debris removal, in addition to door-to-door environmental education sessions.
Secretary of Public Services, Alejandro López, indicated that the objective is to improve the quality of public spaces, which is why weeding, eradication of illegal dumps, and improvements in public lighting are being carried out, but the support of the residents is most important, so that they are responsible for keeping these places in good condition.”
That is why the “Take care of your neighborhood” program visits homes, “bringing information about the waste collection service, environmental care, and other measures that, if respected in each household, contribute to the maintenance and order of the neighborhoods,” remarked López.
Laura, a resident of Pampa Soler for 18 years, highlighted the Municipality's action and expressed her wish that this be taken care of by everyone: “unfortunately there are people who do not take care and you see cans, bottles, and things thrown everywhere daily, and we want to have our space clean.”
In the same vein, Roxana, who has been in the neighborhood for 15 years, expressed: “we are grateful because they came and hopefully this will last, that they do not start throwing waste again. Many times we clean, but we have to take care of it together.”
The intervention includes the participation of the Undersecretariat of Public Services; the Undersecretariat of Environment; Urban Hygiene; Electrotechnics; Waste Collection; Parks and Promenades, among other areas. The work will continue until next Friday.
