The representatives of the carnival groups received the advance payment corresponding to the 2018 edition of the Carnival. The Secretary of Government Marcelo Benedetto and the President of the Carnival Entity Matías Soto, delivered the contributions to the carnival groups on behalf of the mayor Enrique Cresto, just as the warehouses for the assembly of the floats have already been handed over.
"We must thank the mayor Enrique Cresto because it is the first time that an advance has been delivered so far in advance, which at this point is very useful for the work since the floats are beginning to be made," said Silvia DiBiase, representative of Comparsa Emperatriz. The 2018 Carnival already has a start date, the first parade at the "Atanasio Bonfiglio" Corsódromo will be on Saturday, January 13.
Matías Soto, Executive President of the Carnival Entity, explained that "as the mayor announced when the presentation of the three joint expressions of the Carnival of Concordia was held last Monday, we delivered the contribution as an advance on prizes to the carnival groups". For his part, the Secretary of Government, Marcelo Benedeto, pointed out that "the decision of the mayor Cresto is to reinforce the work that is being done so that the Carnival continues to grow, it is a cultural, artistic, social and tourist event of relevance for the city," he emphasized.
