With sold-out tickets, the 2018 edition of the Concordia Carnival concluded. By decision of Mayor Enrique Cresto, 2 brand-new motorcycles were raffled off, one among the attending public and another among the members.
With a sincere tribute to Martin Herrera, a member of Bella Samba who passed away unexpectedly, the sixth and final night of the Concordia Carnival began. A luxurious farewell, full of rhythm and color, to close the 2018 edition of the greatest summer festival.
This last parade was attended by mayors Gustavo Menendez of Merlo and Francisco Echarren of Castelli, Buenos Aires province. "They are two friends with whom we work together permanently," Cresto introduced them.
"I am surprised. It is a truly spectacular festival," Echarren described. "Much better than what I had been told," he added.
For his part, Menendez maintained that "it is one of the best festivals in the Americas. A great carnival that all residents of Concordia should be proud of," and anticipated that "I am taking the idea of the tourist and social bus that you presented, a very good idea that we are going to implement in Merlo as well." He was referring to the tourist bus that the municipality acquired in an agreement with the company Flechabus.
"The idea is to support each other and be present at the popular festivals of each city. To exchange projects and proposals and continue betting on management that brings happiness to the people," concluded Cresto.
On the other hand, it should also be noted that on March 6, the envelopes for the tender for the construction of the first stage of the permanent stands of the Corsódromo will be opened.
