"Concordia is Carnival" and this is confirmed by the variety of proposals related to the carnival festivities that take place throughout the year. Like this weekend, in which the "Walter Perafán" Amphitheater on the Costanera will host the 10th International Meeting of Pasistas and Baterías, with the participation of delegations from different parts of the country and guests from neighboring countries, highlighting the presence of Bellinha Delfin, who arrives from Brazil to share all her experience with us.
The press conference was held in the Municipal Hall, where the activities scheduled for Saturday and Sunday were announced, and it was also mentioned that in case of rain, the event will be moved to the Galpones del Puerto. Claudio "Lolo" Alaní, host and organizer of the event, thanked "the Mayor Enrique Cresto, all the areas of the Municipality, and all the businesses and brands of Concordia that collaborate by supporting this tenth Meeting".
The Carnival Queen of Concordia Agustina Barrio and the Queen of the Pequeños Duendes Kiara Capech accompanied the press conference and presentation of the event, along with the Secretary of Sports Marcelo Cresto, the president of the Carnival Entity Sebastián Cuberli, Councilman Amadeo Cresto, and the municipal Event Coordinator Matias Armanazqui, among others.
“We always receive a lot of strength from everyone to carry out this meeting, which for another year has been declared of Municipal Interest by the Deliberative Council and, for the first time, of Provincial Interest,” Alaní expressed with gratitude. “We invite all carnival lovers and those who are not, as well, to the Costanera on Sunday, where we will have more than 20 batucadas, with excellent percussionists and the best pasistas,” who arrive in the city from provinces such as Tucumán, Córdoba, Santiago del Estero, and Catamarca.
One of the most prominent guests is Bellinha Delfin, who is visiting the city from Rio de Janeiro. “I am very happy to be here, to be part of this meeting with you, a meeting that not only allows for competition and having a good time but also for a cultural exchange,” she expressed.
For her part, Agustina Barrio, Carnival Queen of Concordia, highlighted the opportunity “to be part of an event that not only provides knowledge but also generates an important exchange.” She also said that it is a good opportunity to promote the city and invite everyone visiting us this weekend to return to the city in the summer to enjoy the party at the "Atanasio Bonfiglio" Corsódromo.
Activities will begin on Saturday from 3:00 PM with a course led by Bellinha, while on Sunday, starting at 10:00 AM, there will be carnival workshops, and at 2:00 PM the percussion competitions will begin, whose cup this year bears the name of "Laura Martínez Pass de Cresto", promoter of the Pequeños Duendes Carnival.
