Despite it being a cold night and the eve of a workday, thousands of residents of Concordia enjoyed the third parade of comparsas at the Atanasio Bonfiglio Municipal Corsódromo. The comparsas improve their performance with each new run and the battle of passions intensifies as the championship progresses.
After the rain forced a rescheduling of the third night, originally planned for Saturday, the venue hosting the festival at the former Estación Norte had a turnout that surprised even the most optimistic.
Following the usual opening of the track by the “Unisur” comparsa, the members of “Ráfaga” were the first to face the wind, followed by those of “Emperatriz”, in the third turn the multicolored members of “Bella Samba”, and the final closing was in charge of “Imperio”.
Raffle of two motorcycles
On this occasion, two motorcycles were raffled in the middle of the corsódromo track, and the mayor Enrique Cresto and the vice-mayor Armando Gay were in charge of presenting the prizes. "The motorcycles and gifts arise from a proposal by the mayor, to recognize the support of the public, the commitment of the participants, and the love of the residents of Concordia for this festival that belongs to everyone," they said from the Carnival Entity.
The competition enters its stage of greatest display, with three scoring dates, scheduled for Saturdays, February 11, 18, and 25 respectively. To then know which will be the new champion of the most participatory and attractive festival in the region.
