The cultural event, now in its ninth edition, will take place in different neighborhoods of the city starting in February. Led by the Secretary of Sports, Education and Social Tourism, Marcelo Cresto, and the Director of Events and Cultural Workshops, Prof. Sonia Albornos, the organizational meeting was held with the team that will carry out the 2022 edition, to finalize details with all the municipal areas involved and the leaders of the children's carnival troupes.
During the work meeting, Marcelo Cresto highlighted the relevance this festival has for the city, especially for the children who look forward to this event every year. "Not only because it has become a space of joy but also of support and social inclusion through the workshops provided in the months leading up to it.
It has been, since its inception, a way of being close to children and their families, reaching them with the municipal government through various areas: social development, culture, events, sports, health promotion, among others, generating an inclusion network in which all members participate; from the participants to the workshop leaders," he highlighted.
Sonia Albornos, Director of Events and Neighborhood Workshops, indicated that the "Carnaval de los Pequeños Duendes" will be inaugurated on Friday, February 4th, at the Costanera by Carriego Street and will then have different points of the city as its stage:
Sunday, February 6 - 8:30 PM - La Bianca
Friday, February 11 - 8:30 PM - Pompeya
Sunday, February 13 - 8:30 PM - Centenario
The closing of the 9th edition will take place at the Corsodromo Atanasio Bonfiglio on Sunday, February 27th at 8:30 PM, and will have a charitable purpose. On this occasion, to enter, the public will be asked to donate school supplies.
