This weekend the eighth edition of "Federal Breathalyzer Test" was held, a program promoted by the National Road Safety Agency, through which joint control and prevention operations were carried out simultaneously in the main cities of the country.
"Control operations were carried out at strategic points in the city, one of them was at the intersection of Sarmiento and San Lorenzo, and we had the collaboration of the Municipality's Citizen Security Directorate and the Entre Ríos Police, with whom we always work together," noted the director of the Transit Center, Walter Baez, in this regard.
"Breathalyzer and documentation checks were carried out, as well as awareness-raising actions on the importance of complying with traffic regulations to reduce the probability of accidents and incidents," commented Baez. "The decision of the mayor Alfredo Francolini and the Chief of Cabinet Fernando Barboza is to continue participating in these joint actions, because in addition to the specific controls carried out in the city, it allows for the institutional strengthening of the work that has been carried out with the Road Safety Agency," he highlighted.
The "Federal Breathalyzer Operation" began at the end of last year in the provinces and municipalities of Argentina and consists of the development of simultaneous breathalyzer checks at different points in each locality. In Entre Ríos, Paraná, Gualeguaychú and Concordia participated in this edition.
