The mayor Alfredo Francolini, accompanied by the Chief of Staff Alberto Armanazqui, the Secretary of Health Dr. Mauro García, the Director of Disability Marcelo Primitivo, and Councilwoman Cristina Guitar, presented certificates for the training cycle completed by people with disabilities, where they were able to acquire new tools for integration into the labor market and their social and personal development.
The Director of Disability of the Municipality of Concordia, Marcelo Primitivo, commented that “we have concluded this training cycle, which was aimed at people with disabilities who are participating in the Labor Training Program carried out by the Secretariat of Development and Production, providing them with new tools for integration into the labor market”.
“With this initiative promoted by the mayor Alfredo Francolini, we offer them more tools, not only for labor integration and to enrich their resumes, but also for their daily lives and their social and personal development,” he remarked.
Regarding the training, Primitivo detailed that “during the course, they were able to access training cycles in Argentine Sign Language; in the use of AED and First Aid, led by the Undersecretary of Health Dr. Diego Sauré, and the Occupational Health and Safety staff of the Municipality provided a course on Prevention of work accidents, use of fire extinguishers, and evacuations in case of fires or catastrophes”.
“Today, with great emotion and joy, we held the delivery of the certificates that will enrich their resumes to facilitate their labor integration and which are tools that allow them to grow in dignity in a city where we seek, with empathy and equality, to share different social spaces”.
The Secretary of Health, Mauro García, remarked on “the willingness of all the areas of the Municipality that work together to be able to carry out these training and education instances to achieve a more egalitarian city,” and thanked “the Mayor, who allows us to coordinate in this way and achieve these results”.
For her part, Celina Duarte indicated that “I completed two training courses; one on Occupational Health and Safety and another on Argentine Sign Language,” and mentioned that “it is a great opportunity to acquire experience not only in the workplace but also in daily life because these tools are very useful and help us break down the barriers of prejudice and improve ourselves day by day”.
