The Deliberative Council is preparing to take a significant step in promoting citizen participation and civic education for its youth. The vice mayor, Lic. Magdalena Reta de Urquiza, has confirmed the launch of Youth Deliberative Council 2025, a key initiative to bring new generations closer to legislative work.
Under the slogan "Your voice counts!", this edition seeks to recognize and encourage the active participation of young people as true protagonists of the city. The proposal not only aims to foster ideas, but also to promote concrete actions that generate a positive impact on the community.
The inaugural event will take place next Monday, August 4th, at 10:30 a.m., at the Assembly Hall of the Municipality of Concordia.
During the day, the guidelines of the legislative activities program that the participating students will develop will be presented in detail. This work scheme will allow young people to immerse themselves in the dynamics of the Deliberative Council of Concordia, understanding its functions and responsibilities. The proposal seeks for students to have an enriching experience, working side by side with council members in the drafting, debate, and presentation of projects that address the problems and interests of the Concordia community.
The Youth Deliberative Council is thus consolidated as a valuable educational and democratic tool, providing future leaders with the opportunity to understand how institutions function, exercise their voice, and contribute their fresh and dynamic vision to issues of local public interest.
