This year, the global COVID-19 pandemic imposes different conditions for the celebration of this popular festival, preventing the holding of parades and mass events. Nevertheless, the passion, strength, and good energy of the Carnival of Concordia remain present in 2021 and with renewed momentum in the face of adversity.
With this premise, Mayor Alfredo Francolini defined several initiatives and ordered the formation of a broad working team that is currently advancing in the preparation of multiple activities - both in-person and virtual - that will mark a strong presence of the Carnival in the city and beyond Concordia, prioritizing compliance with preventive regulations and health care.
The announcements and other details of this cultural and tourist cycle will be formalized next week, which will have its greatest concentration of activities in February, during the long Carnival weekend, with the comparsas and figures of the Carnival of Concordia as the main protagonists.
